The happiness we seek

The opportunity of life is to learn to live in the experience of love. When this is present, you are happy, alive and free. You feel good about yourself and good about life. You also have a very positive attitude. You are positive in your thinking, your speaking and your actions. You then radiate this positive energy into your life and great things happen around you.

Find a time when you were in the experience of love and notice how you felt. Notice the peace you had. Notice how effortless life was. Isn't this the happiness that we seek? Of course it is.

Now notice where the experience of love is located. Is it outside of you, in the circumstances of your life, or is it inside? It's inside. It's an inner state. It's how you are experiencing life.

Now look at the opposite. The opposite state is one of fear and upset. When you are in this state, you close down inside. You also become very negative. You then radiate this negative energy into the world around you and guess what shows up - negative circumstances.

Fear, upsets and the experience of love are all states of mind. They are ways of experiencing life. It's how you experience life at any moment that determines the quality of your life. It also shapes your actions and determines what happens around you. When you live in the experience of love, you create an incredible life. When you live in a state of fear and upset, you create a life of suffering.

How you experience life may seem to be the result of what happens around you, but it's not. It's the result of how you relate to what happens. When you change how you relate to life, you change what happens around you.

Once you discover that your inner state is totally separate from your circumstances, and that your inner state is something that you create, you take a major step towards the mastery of life. This awareness then frees you from the circumstances and allows you to create a life more wonderful than anything you can imagine.

Action to Take

  1. Recall a time when you were in the experience of love
    Notice what your life was like. You were happy, alive and free. You had a very positive attitude and great things happened around you. Now notice where this state was located. Was it outside of you, in the realm of circumstances, or was it inside of you? It was inside. It's an inner state.
  2. Notice that at any moment you are experiencing life in a very specific way
    Whether you are experiencing love, joy, an upset, or something else, they are all inner states. These inner states seem to be the result of what happens around us, but they’re not. They are the result of how we relate to what happens. Notice how your inner state shapes your actions and ultimately determines what happens around you.
  3. Learn to live your life in the experience of love
    What would your life be like if you lived in the experience of love most of the time? Notice how much more effective you would be and how much more enjoyable your life would be. Are you willing to have your life be this good? Are you willing to have the experience of love in every relationship and in every aspect of life? You can. Use this video course to learn how.
